Hard commercial duty cycles.
Three things sit within a few kilometres of each other here: the QEII corridor, Nisku Business Park, and Edmonton International Airport (YEG). All three run on vehicles, and all three cycle them hard.

In February 1947, a well drilled just outside Leduc came in and changed the province permanently. Leduc No. 1 launched Alberta's modern oil industry, and nearly eighty years later the area still runs on it — Nisku Business Park, immediately north of the city, is one of the largest concentrations of oilfield service companies anywhere in North America.
That history shapes what we buy here. Leduc produces ordinary household vehicles like anywhere else, but it also produces a steady supply of high-kilometre service trucks, heavy-duty diesels and retired fleet units — the most valuable end-of-life vehicles in this market by a wide margin.

Three things sit within a few kilometres of each other here: the QEII corridor, Nisku Business Park, and Edmonton International Airport (YEG). All three run on vehicles, and all three cycle them hard.
Service trucks working out of Nisku accumulate kilometres at a rate household vehicles never approach — long runs on Highway 2 and out to lease sites, often loaded, often towing, often idling for hours in winter. Airport-area operations run their own fleets on replacement schedules. Construction and trades companies across the county do the same.
When those vehicles retire, people frequently accept scrap-weight offers on them, which is a mistake worth several hundred to several thousand dollars.
A heavy-duty diesel with a dead engine is not a scrap car. A Cummins, Duramax or Powerstroke unit with a failed engine still carries an Allison or heavy-duty transmission, a transfer case, front and rear axles, a turbo, injectors and a high-pressure fuel pump — all with strong Alberta resale. Add a service body, deck, crane, headache rack or compressor and the value climbs again.
If you're clearing a yard, tell us on the first call. Multiple-unit pickups get scheduled together. Full detail on cash for trucks and SUVs.
One thing to be upfront about: if a diesel has been emissions deleted, say so. Deleted trucks are difficult to return to the on-road market legally, which pushes them toward parts and scrap — but those parts are still valuable, and an honest description gets you an accurate quote instead of a renegotiation at your gate.

The residential side is straightforward and just as welcome. Leduc's newer subdivisions — Southfork, Robinson, Deer Valley, Suntree, Tribute, Meadowview, Windrose, Caledonia, Bridgeport, Corinthia Park, West Haven and Alexandra Park — are full of two-vehicle households commuting north on the QEII into south Edmonton or over to Nisku.
That commute is hard on cars. Highway kilometres accumulate fast, winter brine on Highway 2 and Highway 2A works through brake lines and rocker panels, and freeze-thaw pothole season on 50 Street and Black Gold Drive finishes off struts and front-end components. A twelve-year-old Leduc commuter has usually taken all of it.
When one stops being worth repairing, it typically gets parked rather than sold — and two winters later it won't start at all. That's the vehicle we're here for. It doesn't need to run. See cash for non-running cars.
Throughout Leduc, Nisku and Leduc County:
Distance doesn't affect your offer, and neither does difficulty. Winching, awkward access and rural runs are included — see free towing.

If the vehicle is genuinely finished, scrap car removal covers the depollution and recycling process. If the priority is simply getting it off the property, that's junk car removal.
A half-ton carries roughly double the recoverable metal of a compact car; a one-ton diesel closer to three times. This is why Leduc's vehicle mix pays comparatively well.
Frequently the highest-value single component on an end-of-life vehicle, because of the platinum, palladium and rhodium inside. Larger engines generally carry higher-value units, and many V6 and V8 configurations run more than one. Trucks are also the most common theft targets in the region because of ground clearance — check underneath for a cleanly cut section of exhaust before you call.
Drivetrain condition, body panels, glass, wheels, interior and — on work trucks — decks, boxes and mounted equipment.
Missing engine or transmission, missing wheels, or corrosion through the frame rails all reduce the number, honestly and predictably.
The full pricing breakdown is on cash for scrap cars, and the parts-value side on cash for junk cars.
Year, make, model and trim — a 2.7 EcoBoost and a 5.0 V8 F-150 are different vehicles to us.
Engine, whether it's diesel, 2WD or 4WD, approximate kilometres, and whether it runs, moves, or neither.
Catalytic converter present or cut off, box, deck or service body condition, any mounted equipment, rust honestly assessed, and anything missing.
Answer those accurately and the number you're quoted is the number you're handed. We don't renegotiate on arrival.

Proof of ownership — registration in your name, a lien discharge if it was financed, or estate documentation. Photo ID. Plates off before we load, since in Alberta they belong to you rather than the vehicle. If the truck is registered to a company, bring documentation showing signing authority.
We provide a bill of sale on site with the VIN, odometer, price and both parties. Keep your copy. Cancel insurance after the sale, not before — you may be owed a prorated refund.

Yes — they're among the most valuable vehicles we handle. Decks, service bodies, cranes and compressors add value, so describe what's mounted on it.
Yes. The transmission, transfer case, axles, turbo and injection system all retain substantial value independent of the engine.
Not for us, but tell us upfront so the quote is accurate. Deleted trucks are harder to return to the road legally, which affects how the vehicle is valued.
Yes. Fleet and multi-unit pickups are scheduled together — mention it on the first call.
Far less than on a car. Heavy-duty drivetrains are expected to run high kilometres and their parts sell accordingly.
Yes. No distance charge, and nothing deducted from your payout.
Both. Household vehicles in any condition are equally welcome.
